Strong VPN
Strongvpn.com / Reliablehosting.com started as a computer system integrator in South Lake Tahoe in 1994 with a small staff. We moved from various colocation facilities in Northern California until we settled at
200 Paul ExchangeColo now run by Digital Realty Trust. This facility offered us a ideal location
for peering and growth ability.
We have been able to steadily grow our customer base by understanding a fundamental rule in regards
to business. There is no way to truly grow a hosting business on product and price advantage alone,
the most important factor to a successful business is a strong customer service culture.
Going with the wrong hosting company can be devastating to a online business, we want to assure you of
our maturity and skill.
Our network is a redundant multihomed BPG4 system utilizing quality Cisco and Foundry Networks routers and switches. We connect to more than 30 other networks through our transit and peering connections to North America, Europe and Asia over multiple gigabit fiber optics.
Our staff monitors our network 24/7/365 – you can be assured that we’ll be there if you need us.

I just bought an account with Strong VPN. Surfing websites works great, but video streaming is really slow, does a lot of buffering even for small low-res videos like YouTube ones…
Used them successfully for a couple of months, but then the connection got really slow. I switched to another US server but still no improvement.
Still, I would not say the service is bad (VPN works, support is OK), but I was expecting a little more after all the advertising.
I regularly travel from China to USA and back.
My laptop was always getting hacked on the hotel wifi connection and I always had viruses/trojans etc.
In order to seek a more secure way of doing business I checked out several VPN services. I signed up with strongVPN because they had the live chat support.
The connection has been fast and stable. I have even been able to stream movies on Netflix account. I would recommend them.
For me it is a good service. Not very expensive, good speed, I can access everything I need. Good.
I do not know a lot about VPN service providers. I just checked some of them and this one has seemed to be the most popular. No traffic limit, good prices, unlimited access to the Internet. And once my plan ordered, the response came fast, I got connected without problems, browsing is ok, no slowness etc. This is great. Is the only VPN I ever used, but it has not disappointed me yet.
The service here works good from China. Since I subscribed , I indeed can access the sites blocked here. I can use Facebook and Youtube. My speed is not very very fast to download files or watch videos but it is ok. Overall good provider.
I’m using StrongVPN – so far so good, although it tends to clog up in the mornings if you use a US based connection. The customer service is great, they have online chats available for any issues. It’s not the cheapest, but the upload speed makes it worthwhile if you upload anything of any size.
Slightly overrated service, but still pretty reliable.
They have live support which is a big plus for me, I don`t like to wait a couple of hours for a simple answer.
We are American’s living in Europe and wanted to view some things that were blocked because we weren’t in the USA. we ordered the basic plan, and used it for the three month subscription, using it only a few times. Then one site – Hulu, and then another (which I can’t recall now) somehow detected our IP was not in the USA – did they somehow know VPNStrong is a proxy? If not, why didn’t it work? We thought we could switch servers, because it seemed that Hulu had that ID’d that particular address as out of country. VPN strong told us we would have to upgrade our plan (more money!) to do that – but the whole purpose of having the VPN had been defeated. Then we started gettign multiple emails a week telling us it was time to renew. That was obnoxious, but what really sent my security-conscious spouse over the top was putting our username and P/W, together and in clear text, in those emails. So much for keeping my system secure. Needless to say, we dropped them like a hot rock.
StrongVPN is not very privacy-friendly. They disabled my account for bittorrent downloads, and they refused to refund me. This just proves that they keep logs of your traffic.Where is the anonymity in that?
